Above 30 °C we are in the shade or indoors between 11:30 and 15:30. A wide-brimmed hat, thin long sleeves, sunscreen and a full water bottle are a must.

Four rules for dressing right

  • No cotton

    The layer next to the skin should be wool or synthetic; cotton chills when wet.

  • Three thin layers

    Three thin layers instead of one thick coat: one comes off when the weather changes.

  • One size up

    Boots one size up; a foot squeezed with thick socks gets cold quickly.

  • Let them dress themselves

    Big zips, velcro, wide gloves: in the morning everyone dresses at once.
